School project
Insanely Normal (“Wahnsinnig normal”)
– THE BERLIN SCHOOL PROJECT
Insanely Normal (“Wahnsinnig normal”) is aimed at school classes and uses open and realistic trialogue to educate young people about mental health crises. A team of volunteers, consisting of people with experience of psychiatry, their family members and friends, and professionals, share their personal experiences and encourage discussion about prejudice, fear and anxiety, and questions relating to mental health.
For ApK Berlin, this approach to early education is an effective means of reducing stigma and encouraging a respectful and anxiety-free attitude towards mental health crises.
We are delighted to collaborate with this committed project, whose volunteers dedicate their heart, soul and professional expertise to helping young people to question their own views and gain new perspectives.
